Oceus Networks Introduces Expanded 4G LTE Broadband Solution Suite

Apr 06, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Oceus Networks, a provider of broadband solutions to government and industry, announced the availability of its new expanded fourth-generation (4G) Long Term Evolution (LTE) family of fully interoperable solutions that enable secure high-speed, high-capacity, voice, video and data transmissions.

According to a release, the ruggedized Xiphos systems provide turnkey, deployable broadband networks wherever traditional communication infrastructures are unavailable or compromised.

The company said the expansion of the broadband solution suite, commonly known as Xiphos R2, includes software enhancements that provide seamless mobility with handover among multiple Xiphos systems.

Oceus provided highlights of what Xiphos R2 now provides: -nearly unlimited coverage when used in a network of systems -support for up to 'no practical limit' of subscribers -up to a thousand concurrent user sessions per system -Self Organizing Networks (SON) features -multi-frequency support with up to four different frequency bands per system -indoor and outdoor ruggedized configurations -additional frequency bands: 700 (12, 14), 800 (20), 1900 (25) and TD-2300 (40) -enhanced Quality of Service (QoS) features which enable prioritization of real-time sensitive data transmission for mission critical applications, for example, situational awareness, video streaming and VoIP "Xiphos R2 offers the latest in advanced LTE broadband," said Douglas C.
