Fidelis Security Systems introduces Fidelis Insight Threat Intelligence Services

Apr 18, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Fidelis Security Systems, a provider of network visibility, analysis, and control solutions, on Wednesday introduced its new Fidelis Insight Threat Intelligence Services offering, an extension of the Irace-led Fidelis Threat Research Team designed to help effective use of Fidelis XPS network security solutions.

Fidelis Insight Threat Intelligence Services provides customers with access to automated Dynamic Threat Intelligence feeds, a service that is available at no charge to all Fidelis XPS customers. It is comprised of policies and intelligence feeds delivered on a continuous basis to all Fidelis XPS management consoles from a cloud-based service operated by Fidelis, which enables the user to discover and prevent activity involving known malicious files and sites involved with malware, phishing and botnets in real time.

In addition, access to the Direct Response service is also provided, which enables direct access to cyber security experts and Fidelis policy authors who can assist in the creation of rules.

The company also announced that it has promoted Will Irace, its former director of Research & Services, to the role of vice president of Threat Research. Irace has previously served in roles such as senior Solutions Architect and director of Research & Services for Fidelis.
