Rubicon Technology, Inc. Selected as a Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Award Winner

Rubicon Technology, Inc., (Nasdaq: RBCN), a leading provider of sapphire substrates and products to the LED, RFIC, semiconductor, and optical industries, announced today that it has been selected as a Deloitte (News - Alert) Technology Fast 500™ award winner for 2012. The Deloitte's 2012 Technology Fast 500™ is an annual ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America.

Deloitte Technology Fast 500 award winners for 2012 were determined based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2007 to 2011. In order to be eligible for Technology Fast 500™ recognition, companies must own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company's operating revenues.
