G.hn is enabling fast and powerful connectivity for the delivery of multimedia content to Smart TVs and devices in the Smart Home. Woxter joins a growing list of OEM partners in the second wave of G.hn design wins for Marvell, accelerating the global adoption of the extensible ITU-T standard, designed to provide connectivity at data rates up to 1 Gbit/s over standard home wiring, including electrical wires, coaxial cables, twisted pair and optical fiber.

) Woxter's PowerLine PLVL-1010 and VideoLAN-1000 are based on Marvell's GE-DW360F reference design, which includes the Marvell® 88LX3142 G.hn digital baseband processor, the Marvell 88LX2718 G.hn analog front end and the Marvell 88E1510 Gigabit PHY with a complete TCP/IP protocol stack. The PowerLine PLVL-1010 is an easy -t o - use adapter that connect s PCs, game consoles, TV set-top boxes, decoders and any other electronic devices capable of Internet sharing, online gaming or streaming HD content while providing high-speed networking anywhere in the home there is a power socket.
The VideoLAN-1000 is a patented and award-winning multi-room HDMI extender that sends a full HD signal throughout the house, accessible from any power socket, transmitting up to eight HD video streams simultaneously.
"Woxter's designs harness the power of Marvell's G.hn silicon, enabling home networking of plug-and-play devices at high-speed connections anywhere in the home ," said Javier Parraga, CEO of Woxter. "At CES this year, we are focused on bringing home the HD experience through any socket. We follow the trends that impact our customers and make their lives easier with our new products that provide the solutions they need for simple, reliable and easy-to-use home entertainment products. With the integration of Marvell's G.hn chipset into our products, we anticipate providing optimal performance and delivery of high-bandwidth content over standard wires in the connected home so that our customers can focus on enjoying content, whether HD video, music or Internet sharing, when they want, and where they want." Since its debut in September 2011, Marvell's G.hn silicon continues to garner industry support. Marvell's G.hn chipset won a Best Electronic Design Award in December 2011 and a Connected Home Award in April 2012. Demonstrations at CES and the Asia Plugfest in 2012 generated even more interest in Marvell's G.hn vision and potential applications of the technology. Most recently, in December 2012, Marvell became the first silicon vendor worldwide to have its silicon achieve full compliance certification from the HomeGrid Forum, paving the way for mass deployments by OEMs of G.hn systems based on the Marvell chipset.
"We are pleased to be working with Woxter on their home networking products based on G.hn," said Winston Chen, vice president of the Smart Home Business Unit at Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. "Marvell's G.hn silicon is designed to enable the distribution of bandwidth-intensive content to more screens in more rooms throughout the Smart Home. By working with our OEM partners to implement G.hn designs, we are quickly bringing more G.hn-enabled products to market and accelerating the vision of total connectivity in an always-on world." Marvell will showcase its G.hn-powered products at the Marvell booth ( South Hall 3, Upper Level, Booth No. 31423 ) and at the HomeGrid Forum booth (South Hall 1, Booth No. 21906) during CES at the Las Vegas Convention Center, January 8-11, 2013.
