Marvell Powers Woxter's G.hn Home Networking Entertainment Products

LAS VEGAS and SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Marvell (NASDAQ: MRVL) today announced that Woxter is launching a powerline adapter and a multi-room HDMI extender based on Marvell's G.hn silicon. G.hn is enabling fast and powerful connectivity for the delivery of multimedia content to Smart TVs and devices in the Smart Home. Woxter joins a growing list of OEM partners in the second wave of G.hn design wins for Marvell, accelerating the global adoption of the extensible ITU-T standard, designed to provide connectivity at data rates up to 1 Gbit/s over standard home wiring, including electrical wires, coaxial cables, twisted pair and optical fiber.

The PowerLine PLVL-1010 is an easy -t o - use adapter that connect s PCs, game consoles, TV set-top boxes, decoders and any other electronic devices capable of Internet sharing, online gaming or streaming HD content while providing high-speed networking anywhere in the home there is a power socket.

The VideoLAN-1000 is a patented and award-winning multi-room HDMI extender that sends a full HD signal throughout the house, accessible from any power socket, transmitting up to eight HD video streams simultaneously.
