Pantheon Reports Serving More Than 1 Billion Web Hits a Month
Jan 18, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Pantheon, a Drupal platform, announced that the company is now serving over a billion Web hits a month.
According to a release, since the company's worldwide launch nine months ago, thousands of Web development firms, corporations and media companies have chosen Pantheon to run their websites in the cloud-freeing them from the expense of hardware and servers. With Pantheon, companies for the first time can bring the simplicity and success of the SaaS model used in CRM, marketing and productivity apps for the critical function of building, launching and running Drupal websites.
Based on a Web-scale infrastructure, Pantheon said it is able to serve everything as small as a personal website or as high-traffic as the most viewed online publications in the world. This approach-proven in the CRM, marketing and productivity app spaces-is unique in the enterprise Web content management system (CMS) market, which until now has historically lacked the innovation enjoyed in these other areas.
