Datto Integrates with Kaseya

Datto Inc, a provider of hardware-based on-site and off-site backup and disaster recovery solutions, is changing the way the channel delivers backup and complete business continuity products and services to clients. The company successfully completed a product integration of its hardware-based on- and off-site backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions with Kaseya (News - Alert), a developer of IT systems and network management software for IT departments and managed service providers.

“The Kaseya integration will allow Datto partners to leverage Kaseya’s proven management tools with Datto’s technology, helping to simplify device management for Datto/Kaseya users,” Ian McChord, product manager at Datto said in a statement.

“Our development team worked hard on this project and it’s another milestone in Datto’s aggressive integration plan,” McChord.

With this integration, Kaseya customers with Datto devices will now be able to centrally monitor and manage all of their devices and alerts from within the Kaseya portal. Users can monitor local and off-site storage, allowing for centralized tracking of their entire Datto fleet. The integration also offers management of the status, category, and priority of every device and agent level alert. Users can monitor backups of all their protected systems for each Datto device.

Company statement also clarified that after a one-time setup in the Datto Partner Portal, device and agent alerts will automatically be created in the Kaseya portal. Users will have one-click access to remote Web for every device in the field, utilizing Kaseya’s single pane of glass management solution.

Datto is also integrated with leading professional services automation software from Autotask and ConnectWise (News - Alert). Complete setup instructions for all product integrations are available on the API tab within the Datto Partner Portal.

Back in September 2012, CMIT Solutions, a managed service provider offering IT support to small businesses, designated Datto as their preferred backup and disaster recovery provider.
