MetTel Opens State-of-the-Art Network Node in California's Silicon Valley

MetTel (News - Alert), a provider of unified communications and network solutions to business and government customers, has opened new network node on West Coast.

The new state-of-the-art network node in California's Silicon Valley would operate 24 X 7, 365 days a year.

The new center adds to the service provided to customers by MetTel Network nodes located in New York and Dallas.

Officials with MetTel said that the new Santa Clara point of presence provides total surveillance of client networks increasing security and expediting service problem identification, notification and resolution.

It also enhances the company's disaster recovery options.

"Reliable, secure and scalable voice and data communications are the lifeblood of today's businesses," said Ed Fox, vice president of network services, MetTel, in a statement.

Fox said that as more enterprises move mission-critical applications to the cloud to reduce IT costs, designing and managing right-sized corporate networks become even more important.

“This new facility provides another layer of network redundancy and geographic diversity to the reliable services our customers have come to expect from us," he said.

According to company officials, providing clients with a single-point-of-contact for all services and requests, MetTel Network nodes are interconnected with many different wireline and wireless service providers. As a result, the company can provide unique network solutions that help reduce total enterprise telecommunications costs, improve network performance and speed, and increase productivity for their clients.

Fox said MetTel partners with the industry's most reliable carriers to build a complete spectrum of custom telecom solutions for multisite enterprises in any sector.

"Our network engineering teams provide the kind of centralized policy management, reporting and regulatory compliance that are especially attractive to clients in financial services and health care who are subject to strict government mandates," he said.

Company officials said that in addition to the network node's continuous network management, the company's comprehensive MetOne Portal allows clients to monitor the performance of their customized networks in real-time to optimize network utilization. The portal also centralizes all customer inventory, billing and help desk functionality.

"From project design to deployment, our specialists are focused on simplifying telecom management, meeting clients' requirements and exceeding service delivery expectations," Fox said.
