Smartlink Network Systems Unveils DIGISOL Cloud-Based Security and Management Solutions

With the new DIGISOL cloud-based security and management solutions from Smartlink Network Systems, SMEs and SMBs in India can realize easier network management with active compliance monitoring.

Smartlink claimed that it is the first to unveil cloud-based switching infrastructure management solutions and the new range of DIGISOL solutions provide smaller environments with enterprise level functionality and equip administrators with the ability to manage, monitor activities inside the network and ensure compliance even on the move.

Shridhar Kadam, CTO at Smartlink, said in a statement, “The solution also has an option of active compliance monitoring of connected clients through the switch for OS updates, anti-virus updates, and firewall status among others. DIGISOL plans to introduce end-point security solutions coupled with this cloud-based solution for malware screening, and peer-to-peer applications monitoring. The solution is compliant with major Windows platform today, and will support mobile devices like the iPad and other Android (News - Alert) devices.”

Using the info about connected computers, IPs, MAC and other device-related information acquired from the cloud-enabled switch, network administrators can reportedly monitor intrusions over the network remotely. SMB/SME administrators need not bear any additional costs for hardware and also enjoy enterprise class features, access control, automated backup and recovery of switches, automatic notification for events and risk information and mitigation.

Some of the notable highlights of DIGISOL switches are performance and scalability, enhanced security, comprehensive QoS, rich management, high availability, energy efficiency and more.

DIGISOL customers can choose these cloud-based solutions soon from select DIGISOL Managed/Lite switches on an annual subscription basis. The cloud-based security and management is stated to be tweaked to be compliant with Windows platform and can also support mobile devices like the iPad and other Android devices.

Recently, Smartlink Network Systems launched new series of high port density switches under its Stallion Range of Switching solutions.
