Application Developer Challenge Declared by inetwork

inetwork recently announced the launch of an innovative developer challenge which will be called The Voice App Igniter. The focus of this challenge is to determine a unique revolutionary voice and messaging application. Developers developing future innovative concepts for scalable voice or messaging applications are invited to participate in the challenge. Depending on the number of entries, a maximum of $600,000 in services from inetwork will be available to either a single or multiple developers.

In a statement, Steve Leonard, EVP and GM of inetwork said, “inetwork is proud to have worked with countless entrepreneurs and startups to deliver services that enable them to launch their solutions, helping organizations like Google (News - Alert), Pinger and Marchex become the leading providers they are today.”

Interested developers can present a short video illustrating their ground-breaking method to utilize a phone number at The Voice App Igniter Tumblr site. The video should showcase the manner in which the application can be used innovatively to access a maximum of one million phone numbers and unrestricted calling capabilities.

A panel of industry professionals will evaluate the submissions. The winners of the challenge will receive discounts or services valued at maximum of $600,000 that can be used for supporting the launch of their application. Interested developers can submit their videos up till November 26, 2012. inetwork will declare the winners on December 3, 2012,

Leonard said, “Today’s market is rife with talented developers poised to deliver the next solution that will dramatically shape one of the hottest areas in the industry as more users steer away from traditional solutions. But you can get bogged down in telecom’s weeds, or lack the guidance or funds to get a great idea off the ground. We are excited to engage developers looking to do more than just sell a dial tone and help fuel their passion to pioneer applications that drive new demand in this growth segment.”

inetwork is a unit of Bandwidth. People can unveil and scale ground-breaking communication services that require voice, 9-1-1, and SMS with assistance from inetwork. Customers can fulfill their communications requirements in a simplified manner with inetwork’s purpose-built IP network, best online tools, customized open source development, and spirited pricing.
