Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise (News - Alert) Communications Company, recently announced the introduction and availability of "how to" videos developed to ensure effective utilization of its products, and to help its customers address common issues facing them.

In a statement, Vala Afshar, chief customer and marketing officer at Enterasys (News - Alert) Networks, said that, "With more than 60 videos now available created to help our customers streamline their current network environment, we are excited to give our customers a valuable tool to help decrease support costs by answering common customer questions in a clear and effective way. We believe our outstanding customer service and support is a key differentiator and these videos provide yet another support tool with tangible and valuable information – all available for free." 

The videos, which can be found on the Enterasys OneFabric YouTube (News - Alert) site and the Enterasys support page, will serve as a resource repository for enhancing the networking environment of customers and prospects within Enterasys-specific and multi-vendor environments.

The videos will also demonstrate the expertise of Enterasys within the networking space. The how-to videos will enhance the company’s services support structure while ensuring a reduction in support costs.

"With a small, busy IT department, we are all forced to tackle multiple disciplines with little prior experience or training. A day away from work for training is a rare luxury and as a general practitioner, I must be familiar with many tasks,” said Deb James, senior network administrator at Richard Bland College. “The Enterasys how-to videos give me the confidence and knowledge to tackle new tasks and understand familiar tasks better. The videos are short, professional, and informative and provide simple, easy-to-follow instructions. My only suggestion is that Enterasys do more of them."

Customers are encouraged to provide ideas on new topics which can be submitted on the Enterasys support page, or via Twitter (News - Alert) (hashtag #enterasyshowto). The company will also host these videos on specific product pages.
