Bradford Networks Placed in Visionary Quadrant of Gartner's New Report for Network Access Control

Gartner’s “2012 Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control” report has named Bradford Networks (News - Alert), a provider of solutions to enable secure network access for corporate issued and personal mobile devices, as a Visionary.

Tom Murphy, CMO at Bradford Networks remarked, “For Bradford Networks, Gartner's (News - Alert) evaluation is a reflection of our partnerships and technical innovations that have enabled us to stay at the forefront of the market. Through continued dominance of our core markets, education and healthcare, and our deep inroads into the enterprise, we look forward to driving the NAC market in 2013 and tackling the evolving security challenges created by the mobile workforce.”

Gartner Magic Quadrants are stated to be a culmination of research in a specific market that provides valuable insight into the relative positions of the market’s competitors. Gartner places a company in the Visionary quadrant if it understands where the market is going or has a vision for changing market rules, but do not yet execute well.

The new Magic Quadrant report revealed that the Network Access Control (NAC) market touched approximately $240 million in 2012 alone, and the market growth is expected to be approximately 63 percent in 2013 with revenue of over $390 million.

Bradford reportedly designed and developed solutions and best practices that enable organizations to balance the needs of mobile employees while mitigating risks to network security and corporate assets. The company understands the growing BYOD (Bring your own device) trend in the market, and its Network Sentry is said to be the first network security offering that can automatically identify and profile all devices and all users on a network, providing complete visibility and control, delivering secure network access for corporate issued and personal mobile devices.

Bradford supposedly announced several strategic technology relationships during 2012, including integrations with Aerohive, Airwatch, Brocade, FireEye, Fortinet, HP, Meru Networks, Motorola (News - Alert) Solutions, Palo Alto Networks, Ruckus Wireless, Sourcefire and RSA NetWitness.
