ManageEngine’s ADManager Plus was recently honored with “2012 Editors’ Best Awards” and “2012 Community Choice Awards” by Penton Media’sWindows IT Pro magazine. ADManager Plus, a simple, easy-to-use Windows Active Directory Management and Reporting Solution, was nominated for these awards in the “Best Active Directory/Group Policy Product” category for the second consecutive year.

Gartner’s “2012 Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control” report has named Bradford Networks (News - Alert), a provider of solutions to enable secure network access for corporate issued and personal mobile devices, as a Visionary. The new Magic Quadrant report revealed that the Network Access Control (NAC) market touched approximately $240 million in 2012 alone, and the market growth is expected to be approximately 63 percent in 2013 with revenue of over $390 million. Bradford reportedly designed and developed solutions and best practices that enable organizations to balance the needs of mobile employees while mitigating risks to network security and corporate assets.

Avecto, a Windows privilege management company, conducted a survey of 365 IT professionals at the McAfee (News - Alert) Focus 2012 conference in Las Vegas. The survey revealed some serious concerns that IT professionals have about their company’s policies on privileges and some interesting insights into the rising trend of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Of those surveyed, 84 percent responded that their organizations need better control of user privileges on company machines. The majority—45 percent—responded that malware attacks are the most compelling reason for reducing the number of privileged accounts; nine percent responded that the most important reason is combating insider threats and another nine percent responded that the most important reason is external compliance.

Ipanema introduced v7.1 of its Autonomic Networking System (ANS (News - Alert)). Offering big companies, particularly those in the cloud, a feature to manage increased data volumes, this new release consists of improvements to application visibility, control, and performance. ANS v7.1 offers various new features, which allow users to have faster Deep Packet Inspection (DPI).
