ManageEngine Updates Applications Manager

Managing the performance of business applications is a critical aspect of its success in the market. Companies should be able to monitor and manage the performance of an application before end users suffer from any issues in that application. To do this, companies need to have advanced application diagnostic tools.

Helping its users monitor application performance better, ManageEngine (News - Alert) has updated Applications Manager. This update now allows Applications Manager to support NoSQL technologies, the company has stated.

Although Applications Manager now supports NoSQL technologies, it continues to support various conventional relational databases. Applications Manager is equipped with a centralized console, which allows it to enable complete Cassandra performance monitoring. It also provides valuable details about memory utilization, and provides useful information about open connections along with various other features that help companies monitor the performance of their business applications.

ManageEngine Applications Manager makes sure that the investment a company has made in its business application is fully utilized. By providing constant monitoring, it makes sure that servers and applications are up most of the time. It also helps the users to solve the production issues quickly and easily.

“NoSQL technologies are relatively new and expertise is hard to find, and that makes it difficult to ensure the performance of big data," said Gibu Mathew, director of product management at ManageEngine. "With out-of-the-box support for Apache Cassandra and MongoDB, Applications Manager can empower existing IT teams and make it easy for businesses to justify their investments in big data technologies.”

Recently, the company announced important improvements to another one of its product, Desktop Central. This mobile device management (MDM) software will now provide support for Android (News - Alert) devices, which enables users to remotely erase the data from a stolen device, the company has stated.
