It now includes features like operations dashboards, bandwidth management, KPI's, head-end management, OTT management & IPTV (News - Alert) management intended to make it cost effective. Moreover, better hardware support and automation as well as scripting features are designed to make it easier for users to operate it.

Dimetis provides standards-based and customized Broadcast OSS and Telecom NGOSS solutions. Dimetis GmbH (News - Alert) software products are used by many of the world's largest broadcasters, telecommunication providers, and media carriers.
Last year, Aspera (News - Alert), Inc., a supplier of next-generation software technologies, and Dimetis announced a technology alliance and partnership along with the immediate availability of the Aspera integrated Boss File Transfer Manager.
According to the company, the Dimetis Boss File TransferR Manager brings connectivity and automation to data exchange workflows by moving media files while hiding system and workflow complexity from the end user. With features including resource scheduling, user management, work process supervision and low level SLA reporting, it unifies and reduces operational costs. Boss File Transfer Manager requests the needed network resources dynamically, the company explained, and, with an interface to Boss Link Manager, reserves and guarantees path and bandwidth for the transfer service.
